Kentucky Guitar Service

This is my story.

I I bought my first electric guitar when I was 13 years old, it cost me $100 back in 1981. It was completely disassembled but came with a good case. I figured out how to turn it back into a functioning guitar. It was a cheap Japanese copy of a very crappy guitar in it’s own right, a Gibson Marauder. I was hooked and have since spent my entire life working on and playing with guitars.

Once I was able to pursue formal training I went in head first, took several audio engineering courses. Some at private studios, full program at the former ICA in Burnaby and Richmond campuses. Time and money very well spent! I then worked as stage tech, stage manager, studio design and construction, personal guitar tech to local artists. Of course anyone that has worked in music knows the paychecks are very small unless you make it as they say. My other passion in life is motorcycles. I started riding at five years old, I still ride to work every day, all year round. Why? Because my day job has been a twenty plus year career as a motorcycle technician. I attended BCIT in 1999 after finally getting a job at a motorcycle shop as a rookie tech. One year in school full time. Time and money well spent.

As a young man, for work I took after my Dad who was a car mechanic. I hated fixing them but loved detailing them. I worked as an expert detailer for nearly twenty years. Time well spent.

Now I have done the same thing again and added guitars as an actual profession. I have done the same with training and education. Although not in any formal institutional programs. I have learned the skills I have through years of practice, buying the proper tools and mastering their use.

All those years spent getting very good at several different trades has allowed me to be very good at working with guitars now.

I am now proudly available to offer you my services for all your guitar needs. I personally guarantee that your guitar will be at it’s best after my work is done.
